Wangfujing Street is the main shopping street in Beijing. This street is lined with shopping malls and department stores. Among the big ones are Sun Dong'an Plaza and Oriental Plaza.

At Wangfujing Street you can find practically anything, from clothes to antiques, books to objets d'art. There are also pharmacies, laundry and stores selling tea, silk, shoes, and more.

When night falls, Wangfujing Street comes alive with its Night Market. This is the place to go to sample or just look at the countless array of street food available in Beijing. The variety seems mind-boggling, from skewered beef to pancakes to even fried scorpions.

At Wangfujing Snack Street, located south of the Night Market, you can find another big array of restaurants. Apart from the shopping scene, Wangfujing Street is were the St Joseph's Church is located.
